This report, issued by ICC Evaluation Service, Inc covers the use of Aerosmith VersaPin helical and Gripshank pneumatic fasteners for: A)Attaching 5/8" thick Georgia Pacific Dens-Glass Fireguard gypsum, B)Attaching Type X gypsum to Cold-Formed Steel ranging from 12-22 gauge. The fasteners are used in exterior wall application that resist wind loading on structures of all types of construction under IBC and UBC and under IRC, provided an engineering design is submitted in accordance with IRC Section R301.1.3.

Aerosmith's SurePin and VersaPin line of fasteners have received Florida Product Approval for the use of attaching James Hardie Brand Siding and other Fiber Cement brands direct to concrete masonry units and Cold-Formed Steel. Aerosmith's VersaPin fasteners have received further approval to attach Exterior Gypsum, Plywood and OSB to Cold-Formed Steel in standard and shear wall configurations under the 2010 code.
